A 48 hour trip to Toronto

Ever since my younger days, I have always been super excited about traveling to Toronto. Toronto is known to have some of the best travel communities in the world, and that’s what amazes me a lot. With time I came across so many top travel bloggers who belong to this city, and after having a conversation with them, my excitement increased many folds. Though the city lacks the charm of Vancouver and Montreal, it still amused me with the number of markets, wonderful art galleries, nightclubs and bars during my 2 days trip. As soon as I landed here, the only thing bugging me was the budget. I already knew that the cost of living standards in Toronto was higher than in many other cities in the country. But still, there were so many places and things to do that were affordable enough. Toronto is also known to be one of the best multicultural cities in the world. The more time I spent in the city, the harder I fell for it. It is a perfect destination for a 2-4 days trip. This powerhouse city of Canada serves some of the best Asian cuisines in the world. Another interesting thing about the city is the bustling lifestyle of the locals. From the spectacular bars to their sport’s obsession, you will get a lot of things that are going to keep you busy throughout your stay. From a long list of places to visit in Toronto I made sure not to miss a few of them that are listed below, and trust me nor should you:

The High Park

I am always inclined towards nature and serenity and if you are also the same, then do not miss visiting the High Park. It is the largest public park in the city and has a plethora of things to offer apart from the serene and green environment. I took advantage of the hiking trails and went for a stroll in the greener part of Toronto, but you can find a lot of people visiting here for enjoying their picnic time as well. According to the locals, during the spring season, the High Park turns into an astonishing place with greenery and blossoming cherry all over. It is easy to transit here because there is a number of public transport running around the park and once you have enjoyed your time, I suggest you have a meal at the Grenadier Restaurant. You can spot this café- Restaurant in the center of the park.

Art Gallery of Ontario

Before coming to this city, I had read it a number of times that Toronto was known for its versatility in Art collections. And this statement came to life as soon as I entered the Art Gallery of Ontario. This place is huge, and you won’t regret a visit to the gallery because be it their permanent collection or the special exhibitions, everything is picture-perfect. The Art Gallery of Ontario is one of the largest museums on the continent. During Wednesday nights, you can get inside the premises for free.

The CN Tower

If you are looking for some high grounds where you can get a lot of panoramic pictures and a mesmerizing 360 view of the city, then the CN tower is the best option for you. Standing at about 342 m high from the ground, I was wondering how beautiful this place is. This is a must visit spot according to me.

The Edge Walk

Coming to Toronto will be complete if you didn’t try this out. Edge walk is a thrilling activity that will give you chills in the spine, but it is going to be memorable. Although I was completely strung up my heart was still throbbing as I walked to the edge of the platform which was 116 stories above the ground level. This adventure is one of a kind in North America.
