The Atlanta Braves have conquered the World Series for the first time since 1995, beating the Houston Astros in Game 6 of the Fall Classic. People will remember Charlie Morton, Freddie Freeman, and, yes, Tyler Matzek and Eddie Rosario, among others, when they reflect on Atlanta’s triumph in 10 to 15 years.
Custom baseball championship rings aren’t just given to well-known donors. Instead, there are a lot of people who will have a Braves championship ring on the show without their experience with the club being acknowledged in any way.
Let’s take a look at some of these players.
INF Sean Kazmar Jr.
Not to be mistaken with experienced left-handed pitcher Scott Kazmir, Kazmar created headlines in April by making his first MLB appearance in more than 12 years. Kazmar has been waiting for another call for about 4,600 days. He appeared in three games as a pinch hitter, making two plate appearances but not getting a hit or playing in the field. Regardless, he’ll be a part of Braves and big-league history for the rest of his life. That is, in our opinion, a worthwhile trade.
Carl Edwards, Jr. RHP
Edwards used to be a solid reliever. Sadly, he couldn’t rediscover his previous brilliance with the Braves. In early May, he encountered five hitters for the Braves, retiring only one of them while letting three runs scored on three singles and a walk. Edwards might take heart in the fact that he only struck out one batter: Alec Bohm.
RHP Ty Tice
Tice was with the Braves for less than two months. On June 4, his contract was acquired from the Blue Jays; on June 21, he made his sole major league appearance with Atlanta; then on July 21, he was claimed off waivers by the Diamondbacks. He faced five hitters and surrendered a single and a walk in that one inning.
RHP Jay Flaa
Flaa will be the lone member of the 2021 Orioles to get a ring. Throughout the season, he appeared twice on The Show, once for the Orioles and once for the Braves. With Atlanta, he faced eight hitters and allowed four runs on three hits, including two home runs. Flaa did make 31 outings with Gwinnett, the Braves’ Triple-A affiliate, with a 5.82 ERA and 30 hitters walked in 34 innings.
Soon after the players receive their rings, the replica of world series championship rings for sell is going to hit the market. Keep an eye out to place your orders.
