The Business Analyst work division strategy is a systematic plan of action intended to accomplish a specific goal. What are the different methods to divide the activities within the group? There are 5 Business Analysts and 72 requirement activities, how will the work be divided? What information/knowledge needs to be transferred between the Business Analysts to successfully deliver compatible requirements? The strategy is applicable to a Business Analyst team where there is more than one member. If there is only one Business Analyst assigned to the project, then all required activities are assigned to that Business Analyst. Within the Business Analyst team, the strategy is to define the work division and co-ordinate the information and knowledge transfer among the team

Divide the work among the business analysts along with his team members to remove the obstacles and confusion. This helps to reach all the goals effectively. It defines responsibilities and sets expectations. It clarifies both where the team wants to be and how to get there.

The lead or team will decide and implement the most suitable method for the team to achieve their specific goal(s). It is the task of deciding which Business Analyst in the team is assigned to the required activity.

Business Analyst and his team review the activities and duration of the work effectively. The business analyst also explain which strategy to apply and document the rationale. Complexity
The work division strategy is based on the activities’ level of complexity For example, it has been determined that the workflow of the global underwriting system is complex; thus, assigned to the Senior Business Analyst. The intermediate and simple functions requirement activities will be assigned to the other Business Analysts on the team.
Previous Work Experience with Stakeholders
This business analyst has good communication with the stakeholders. This work division is based on business analyst worked with the stakeholders
For example, the Business Analyst team is made up of three individuals on an underwriting system development project. The Business Analysts’ milestone is Requirements Sign-off. The stakeholders will sign-off on the requirements relating to their department. One Business Analyst has had previous (favorable) work experience with the Group Underwriting Stakeholder, another Business Analyst has had previous (favorable) work experience with the Individual Underwriting Stakeholder and the third Business Analyst has had no previous work experience with any Stakeholder nor underwriting experience or training. Thus, the first Business Analyst is responsible for the Group Underwriting functional requirements activities; the second is responsible of the Individual Underwriting functional requirements activities and the last on the nonfunctional requirements activities.
