Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir praised Rohit Sharma’s expertise in limited-overs. He also mentioned the legendary Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid whom, he believes that their guidance can help the batsman to excel in Test cricket.
Gambhir wrote in his column for The Times of India: “Rohit Sharma is batting as if there is a GPS on his bat with location settings filtered for the white cricket ball. So flawless has been his display that even a coaching manual is looking like a grey market “first copy”. I think this is the moment when Rohit needs someone in his ears to convey the importance of this form. He needs to convert this into big and consistent scores,”
Gambhir also said that he’s also keeping an eye on Rishabh Pant’s performance in the field. Pant was named as the first-choice wicketkeeper who will fill Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s spot in the team due to his two-month break and military service.
Rohit Sharma is one of the most stunning batsman who shows excellent batting skills. Recently he broke the record of the legendary cricketer Chris Gayle by having the most sixes made by a batsman in the T20 format. In 2018, he was the highest six-hitter in ODI format.
Rohit also has a record of 648 runs in 9 matches at an average of 81 during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. As he finished the tournament with that record, he won the ICC’s Golden Bat award. He is the third Indian player to receive it.
Currently, he is focused on the ongoing West Indies tour. He is not affected by the ongoing speculations of the rift between him and team captain Virat Kohli. Like his usual thing, he gives out the best in every match.
During the first T20I, he scored 24 while in the second match he scored 67 off 51 which helped India to lead 2-0 against the West Indies. The Indian cricket team won in the third T20I. The live score shows that they won by 7 wickets with figures 150/3 in 19.1 overs.
The West Indies tour is currently one of the highlight events for this month. News sites like Betwala are focused on providing coverage until the end of the tour.
