From bustling and overcrowded city lanes to the beautiful and diverse, picturesque landscapes and monument, Rome is full of things that you would expect from it. There are a lot of people who travel to this city every year and have a blast in their own ways. So if you want to have the same then book cheap flights to Rome and enjoy your time here.
On my recent trip to the city, it was just for a single day. I was running low on budget and had to visit here for some important reason. So what I did was checked into the website of Cheapbestfares and got an astonishing price for my trip which didn’t hurt my pocket. So as I took the Rome flight, I was just thinking of the places that would interest me for visiting there. So this was the best itinerary that I could make for myself to spend a day in Rome.
The morning I landed in the city at 2 am and went to the hotel room to rest for a while.
Morning
At around 8 I woke up and after doing every necessary thing, I grabbed onto my bag and launched towards the Vatican City. This was my first stop. The place was huge, so I had to visit here first. I went to the church and clicked some excellent photographs in front of the monuments in this region. As soon as the clock struck 11, I had already finished visiting all the places, so I took a metro and went straight to the Spanish Steps.
Afternoon
My afternoon included not just enjoying the picture taking sessions at the Spanish Steps but also to kill my hunger. I didn’t want to waste much time in dining at a restaurant, so I just wrapped my meal up and had it on the go. After walking for like 15-20 minutes from Spanish Steps, I reached Trevi Fountain. I had already been here, and I knew the story, so I flipped two coins in the pool and enjoyed the place for some time and went on my journey further. Near this place is Pantheon. This beautiful place is a few minutes walking distance from the fountain. After spending some time here, I went on to the Piazza Navona, which is another spot to visit in the city and it is just 5 minutes walking from the Pantheon. The next stops for the rest of the afternoon were Largo Argentina, Piazza Venezia, and Colosseum. I was at the Colosseum at around 3 or 4. The rush of people around the entry gate was quite extensive, but still, I managed to pass through and get to the inside. It was a huge arena.
Evening
The sun had almost set in the west, and almost all the places that I had to visit were done for good. So I just visited some of the nearby places which include Teatro Marcello, Panoramic Elevators at Vittorio Emanuele Monument, Jewish Ghetto, and Tiber Island + Aperitivo. After having a hectic and a tiring day, I had no energy left, so I went straight to Trastevere for dinner. So if you are inclined towards having a great time here, just like I had; you can get an international travel deal for yourself.
